Pick The Perfect Print For Your Summer Wardrobe

By Naomi Rheinberger

Another season is almost through, and you’re running out of ideas of how to add some serious edge to that neon tee, right? The next trend to be taking over a town near you is prints, and before you go and grab your neon on clothing and throw it in a heap on the floor, let us tell you how to work your neon and prints for your summer wardrobe.

Ladies, August Street has done the hard work for you with their Apple Jacket.

It combines the current powerhouses of colour, pink and orange with a detailed print that doesn’t leave you walking down the street being confused with your Granny’s shower curtain.
If you’re hesitant to flaunt full blown colour, team up your neon-colour jeans with a simple printed tank like this one from Living Doll (pictured below). At only $24.95, it is a staple piece that your bank balance will be sending a big two thumbs up your way for many seasons to come.

For the Guys, after being thankful that the neon trend never hit your wardrobes in full force, don’t think this is an excuse to reach for that plain white tee. Nena and Pasadena is one brand that should sky-rocket to the top of your favourite list. You can be donning the ultimate in dapper clothing with this Earl Check sleeve shirt.

If you’re stumped for a singlet for the upcoming family BBQ, or Sunday sport event, check out this ‘1984’ singlet.

Make prints the perfect addition to your festival season clothing.

Do I hear Stereosonic anyone?

Guys, get dressed!

By Christy Kao

Now that I’ve covered the must-have essentials in spring for the ladies, I think it’s time to spice up the wardrobe of some lovely lads. You don’t have to look like you’ve just gotten out of bed every day,  styling and prepping are the key to the perfect outfit. To help you with that, there are a couple of must-haves for you lads.

Flannel Shirts
Flannel Shirts are a great way to create an effortless smart-casual look. They can even be worn over a T-shirt, perfect for those casual days. Flannel shirts come in a variety of colours, just know the inner wear and what your pairing it up with. Also, be careful, if you can’t find it, the girl’s probably taken it.

A vest can take your outfit to a whole new level, it brings sexy back and turns a casual look into a semi-formal look (great for formals!). For an ultra-casual look, pair with an everyday T-shirt, which will look simple yet on-trend. As well as being a great item for a formal, a vest is the perfect addition to your outfit for the occasional functions.

See guys? Dressing up daily shouldn’t be a problem if your able to mix and match these essentials, and just like the girls, they’re also faultless for the coming summer season.

By Christy Kao

If you’ve still got those winter fevers, I’m here to help. Spring is where the new trends of colour, styles and patterns pop up and knowing what must-have items to include for this season may give you a possible headache. They are the most important and essential pieces, as when the cold season reaches us again, layering on will give the clothing a new life. With all that variety to choose from, but where to start?

Blouse Tops – Sleeveless & Collared
Blouse tops were a huge trend early this year, during the late summer season. They give you a very girly look and can come in styles like dresses and jackets. Blouse tops usually come in very simple colours, in addition, metal collar tips and chains are some options to spice up your look. These tops are great for any family outings or casual wear.

Shorts- Distressed & High-waist
Distressed shorts creates a grungy look, they can be created with a little DIY on hand. High waist shorts are considered to be the main feature of the outfits, they come in a range of colours and patterns, from studs and spikes to ombre. Distressed  & High-waist shorts are a great item for festivals and outings with friends.

Parkas are the perfect outerwear for those slightly chilling spring days, it creates a very casual look so even if you over-accessorize or your outfit is very classic and chic. Now with the military trend coming, a nice khaki parka will definitely do the trick and can also come in many different colours. Their perfect for a casual day out and parkas don’t overdo your look.

These 3 essentials are not only perfect for Spring, their perfect all year round, layering on, or wearing them with other bits and pieces can turn these fabulous spring-like pieces into winter warmers!
